Mystery Guest: Worms and Dirt

Kate's birthday is on Good Friday this year, so there is no school.  I decided to come to her school as a "Mystery Guest" and read the kids a book about worms (a fav of Kate's right now) and make 'Worms and Dirt" with them (choco pudding, Oreos, and gummy worms).

Kate told me for months that she wanted to wear butterfly wings to school on her birthday.  I found these and couldn't resist.  She thought they were too big, however, and insisted on wearing them upside-down.  She was so happy.

Our little butterfly almost missed the bus.  Poor papa on the bus during rush hour with an excited almost 4 year old and butterfly wings.

 

Found our Kate watching the construction at school.  Steve kept Alex entertained while I read.  Kate was very surprised and very happy!

Kate's teacher sent 2 or 3 kids in a time to make Worms and Dirt.  Exhausting!  PreK kids have a lot of enthusiasm around chocolate.
