Family Vacation to Mt. Sunapee, NH
Steve, Kate and I went to NH with my parents and Josh and Missy. Kate had her first sled ride and we discovered she can climb stairs!

Kate with Grandpa King

Kate loved the rocking chair!

Reading with Grandma King

A real page turner, apparently.

Here are the clips of Kate climbing stairs. She was a natural!

Kate loves eating with her hands these days.

Here she is with some of her favs: mushrooms, green beans, tofu, and carrots (although she really doesn't dislike much; she's turning out to be a real 'foodie'!)

Kate has a bit of a 'Colbert ear'!

mmm Spinach

Baby, it's cold outside! It got down to 10 degrees F (-12 C) in Boston today, but Kate was prepared.

Kate learned to clap yesterday (1/13). I am really excited about this for some reason! Will post pics soon-my camera is in a funk.

Kate got her second top front tooth on Saturday (1/10) when mom was at work. This makes two teeth making their first appearance when mom was away! Of course. Kate now has 4 chompers!

Inauguration Day

Kate got out the old Obama Baby onesie to celebrate the day!

She started out enthusiastic

and hopeful

and she cheered

and posed for pictures

but succumbed to naptime in the middle of Joe Biden's oath...

She hid during the quartet

and slept like a baby when it was all over .

Go Obama.

Recovered Christmas Pics

I accidentally deleted all of the pics from my camera that I took of Kate Christmas morning (d'oh!) but I was able to recover them this AM with some software I found online. Amazing. I suggest using it if you do the same thing! It is so easy and free...

So here are Xmas morning pics about a month late!

We filled Kate's stocking with all of her favorite toys and then let her tear into it in bed with us Xmas morning.
A gift from Mom
Thanks, Mom, a book....
Let's see if Daddy's gift is more fun...

Yup! Musical instruments from Daddy

But my favorite? Ribbons and paper, of course!

This doesn't happen every morning....
