Alex's First Thanksgiving

We spent Alex's first Thanksgiving in Brownington.
She approves of the veggie-turkey Marsha made us!
It is also the 10th anniversary of her Mama and Papa meeting...Nov 24 2001.  Steve had just come back to Boston from Thanksgiving in Brownington when Mama caught his eye on the dance floor of Start!
Wow, it was a busy ten years!!
 Snow!!  Kate psyched

We went for a nice 3 mile walk (a Christmas Tree farm behind me)  and Kate stayed with Grammie.  You need to wear orange during hunting season.  Don't hunt us! I don't know what animal we would be mistaken for (a 2 headed deer?) but better safe than sorry....

Alex 9 Months

Alex is pulling up and cruising on everything!
Pulling books off the shelf, emptying the play kitchen and dresser drawers are a fav
Alex loves to clap and wave hello
She is babbling "MAMAMAMMAMAM" and "DDADADDADADA" and I swear she has been saying "Kaay" to Kate.  I bet her first word is Kate!
Loves the music table.  She is starting to dance

She is very busy and purposeful in the kitchen.  Actually, she is that way with everything she does.  She is very strong-willed and persistent.  She loves toys and having fun and really enjoys music and playing with instruments.  Maybe I will do a "Music Together" class with her.  Although I dread those things..She likes the library story hour OK, but obviously prefers the singing component over the books.
One day I looked up from cooking and found this!  Hi Mama!

Sorry, kid.

Loving the BOB for jogs

She is growing well.  9 month check up stats:  18 lbs, 28"
She is about the same weight as Kate was, but an inch longer.  No rolls for this baby!

Loving the doll house.
One evening she took my fork and placed it in her bowl.  She just kept it there the whole meal, lol
Still waking quite a bit at night.  i came out of the shower one night and found these two asleep on the couch.  In general she is sleeping 7-4 and then nurses from 4-7 in bed with us.  Not too bad!  Naps are still a daily battle.

Familiar sight

She will find a way to climb in, I am sure.  She will also be a crib-jumper, no doubt!
