Alex's Birthday Party

We were discussing Kate's birthday party and Kate asked if baby sister was going to have one also? So, we decided to have one. Chocolate cupcakes with blue frosting and pink and red sprinkles and M&Ms
And some ones with pink frosting for Valentine's Day. We made a bunch and gave a dozen to the staff at our library and some to our dry cleaner. Oh, and kept 3 for us for Valentine's day....the last thing I need is a bunch of cupcakes around here!
I stole the idea of "0" candle from my friend Amy who did the same for her newborn. Her older girls also wanted a bday party.

Kate was more than happy to blow out the candles
And Alexandra nursed/slept through her first birthday party.
Kate and I happily split Alex's cupcake. Kate was excited to know that Alex will be able to taste it in mama's milk.
