Pie!

The apples from Shelburne weren't great (I guess that is why they weren't supposed to be picked...) but they made a good pie.

Kate was bummed Alex couldn't have any...so we gave her a little taste.  Is a little maple syrup and brown sugar going to kill her?

It was a HOT day!  It was a hot September, really.

We met up with Jill and Jaime

This way!  We should have asked for more specific directions, because we couldn't find any apples!  Well, we did, but they were behind the "Do Not Pick" ropes.

Juvenile Offender.  Honestly, we were all sweating, Alex was screaming and there were NO apples.  We decided break the rules because we were not leaving with empty $18 bags!

Then we took the hayride...through the bountiful orchards.  We were pretty much as far from where we should have been.  We will know next year!

Then it was time for pumpkin ice cream.  Last year, it was hot apple cider and a donut.  So warm today!

We have a lot of fun at the dinner table.  I know most of my pics of them together are at meal times...I guess that is when they both sit still!

Our full sized bed isn't getting any bigger.  Kate comes in around 4 to ask Steve to fix her sheets and Alex comes in to nurse around 3 or 5...they are both in by 6.

Kate loves to go to Fast Phil's with papa to get his hair cut.  Alex loves the balloon they give Kate!

Dance School

Kate started Ballet and Tap ("Creative Dance") this September.  She LOVES it!  Parents are not allowed to watch, so it is all a mystery to us!  Some things leak out during the week like "one, two , three, stay with me" and "chasing bubbles' arm movements...but she keeps mum about what she is doing in there!  I guess we have to wait til the recital

They all march out at the end of class.  Kate is holding up her sticker."Mama, we can't choose our colors.  Jaime says "You get what you get and you don't get upset!"  I love that!

Last (unofficial) Day of Summer

Sept 13th was in the 90's.  Walden was so great because all of the lifeguards and school kids were gone!  I plopped the Go-Pod right in the water and we all had a blast.  Mama even went swimming with Kate with Alex on the shore with this nice grandmother we met.  Alex could see me so all was good!  

Alex swam with us and loves it!  no pics for obvious reasons...
