Farm School Spring

Cathel and Rover were able to join our class (Drumlin Farm) for the month of May!

I think the car seat people are in cahoots with the minivan people. Although we have a good-sized 'family' sedan (2009 Accord) , we can only fit 2 car seats in the back. They are huge. Now that kids need to be in car seats until around age 8 in MA, it is no wonder people take the minivan plunge!

But, as un-PC as it is, car seats in the front seat are not illegal in MA. So, We had Rover ride shotgun with me with Cathel on the hump between Kate and Alex. Rover enjoyed it, as did I! It did make me drive just that much more cautiously, however.

Rover LOVES Alex, which is good because he has a baby sis on the way in September

Spring kids!

Piglets!
These piglets gain 1 pound a day for a year! Average weight at one year 370lbs!

Alex was 6 weeks when we started (in the pouring rain!). It got a bit more challenging as she 'woke up', but nursing and using the carrier made it possible (it didn't hurt having Cathel there to help out, either!)

A mama pat.
Mine.
How it would feel to have a nb and twin 3 year olds. 'not that good' as Kate would say!
But, if I had to choose any two 3 year olds, these two would be it!

They are good sharers.

The nursing cover also works as a great blanket/sun cover over the baby carrier

Alex nursing while I tend to Kate. We spent a lot of time like this!
